Pedersen + Smith's story began when co-founders Emma Smith and Mikael Pedersen first met at University in 2011 whilst studying for their Architectural Master's Degrees. Fast forward 8 years and they have formed their own architectural practice and property investment business.

emma smith BA(Hons) March PgDip ARB RIBA Director & Architect
Emma is a fully qualified ARB and RIBA Chartered Architect with over 7 years experience within the industry. Since moving to London in 2013, Emma has specialised within the residential sector working for a number of high end residential architect practices building up a track record of both gaining planning consents and delivering projects on site to completion. She is experienced both in working for private clients on individual properties to large scale masterplanning projects for developers with previous projects ranging from modest home extension projects to 6,000+ sq ft property renovations in Central London to large scale masterplanning projects.

mikael pedersen BSc March MAA Director & Project Manager
Mikael has over 7 years experience within the construction industry and extensive experience in delivering projects on site to completion. Since moving to London in 2013, Mikael has worked for world renowned architectural practice Fosters and Partners before working as a design manager for top international building contractors with previous projects including the Apple Headquarters in California and a high end residential development in Holland Park with a GDV of £450 million. Originally from Denmark, Mikael has a strong eye for contemporary design and a passion for Scandinavian design. Mikael's expertise also include dealing with subcontractors and builders and foreseeing and resolving any issues that may arise on a construction site.
